How does it work?

42 Yerevan is completely free, with previous knowledge in the field, diplomas, or experience in programming not necessary to become a student. The only requirements are that students be at least 18 years old, be full of curiosity and enthusiasm, and be ready to dedicate one to three years to their studies.

During the registration process, applicants must successfully pass an online logic test, participate in an orientation meeting, and join the Selection Pool. Be aware that the sooner you apply, the higher your chance to be selected!

Admission Process

Online Test

After applying, students play two online games. The games are logic-based and will take at least two hours to complete. Pausing is not possible, so try to work in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. The games must be completed on your own, as self-learning and independence are critical to success at 42. If successful, you’ll be invited to the orientation meeting.

Keep the dates of the registration meeting in mind and try to complete the online test before then.

Introduction

The Introduction meeting is part of the admission process. During the meeting, you’ll be able to learn more about the program, meet the staff, and ask any additional questions you may have. Applications will also be reviewed during the meeting, so participation is mandatory.

Selection Pool

After immersing yourself in 42’s Selection Pool (a 4-week trial period), you’ll become better acquainted with 42’s pedagogical model while we determine your fit. Working with other participants of the pool, you’ll be swimming in code while learning how to collaborate to solve various problems. The pool program includes very basic C programming exercises and the essentials of programming: functions, variables, loops, conditions, recursivity, simple string and memory management.
